Seated Tai Chi Classes at Wimbledon Quarter in collaboration with Wimbledon Guild

As part of our Summer of Sports, join us for a refreshing Seated Tai Chi class at Wimbledon Quarter on Wednesday, 31st July. These special classes are designed to promote relaxation, balance, and overall well-being, making it suitable for participants of all ages and fitness levels. We’ll be offering two sessions of this seated exercise at 10am and 11am on Wednesday 31st July, each lasting for 30 minutes.

Tai Chi is one of the most effective exercises for the health of mind and body. It is a great discipline to learn and is perfect for those who have been inactive and are looking to improve their fitness levels. According to the NHS, there are many benefits for those who practice Tai Chi, especially later in life, including:

  • Improved posture, balance, and general mobility
  • Increased muscle strength in the legs
  • Reduced risk of falls
  • Improved mobility in the ankles, hips, and knees for people with rheumatoid arthritis
  • Gained confidence, helping to avoid falls and encouraging movement

Experience the gentle, flowing movements of Tai Chi in a supportive and inclusive environment. This seated format ensures accessibility for everyone, including those with limited mobility.

Key Information:

  • Open to all: whether you are a seasoned Tai Chi practioner or a complete beginner, everyone is welcome to join.
  • Booking: while the classes are free, advance booking is required to secure your spot.
