We’re gearing up for an exciting calendar of events to celebrate Sustainable September – are you joining us?!
This September, Wimbledon will be buzzing with activities, creativity, and community spirit as we celebrate Sustainable September – a town-wide initiative led by Love Wimbledon. We’re delighted to be collaborating alongside other local businesses to bring a programme of events to Wimbledon Quarter that shine a spotlight on sustainability, creativity, and community.

Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th
A Weekend of Sustainable Fun:
- 🌱 Little Potters Trail with Love Wimbledon
Pick up your trail map from Wimbledon Quarter and explore businesses across the town centre to collect pieces for your final creation. Return to WQ to decorate and pot your plant.
FREE activity, running 12pm – 4pm both days. - 👗 Kilo Sale with Goldsmith Vintage
Refresh your wardrobe the sustainable way with our ever-popular Kilo Sale returning.
£2 entry, £20 per kilo of clothes, running 10am – 4pm both days. Book tickets here. - 🐝 Children’s Crafting Activities
Free workshops in the Courtyard where little ones can make mini beehives and craft plants from recycled materials.
FREE activity, running 12pm – 4pm both days. - 🧵 Adults Embroidery Workshops with Re-Runn
Learn embroidery techniques while helping to create Sustainable September bunting to be displayed around the town.
£5 per workshop, running Sunday 7th from 11am & 2pm. Book tickets here. - 🌿 Tours of The Rooftop Farm Wimbledon
Discover our award-winning rooftop farm and learn how food, flowers and even mushrooms are being grown above Wimbledon Quarter.
£6 including a pot of honey, running at selected times on both days. Book tickets here.
Tuesday 9th – Sunday 14th
Wimbledon Sustainable Fashion Week
Led by local female entrepreneurship-supporting CIC, Go Inspire, this week-long celebration will feature free workshops, styling events, fashion exchanges, and culminate in an evening of full-scale fashion shows.
Some FREE activities, some with a small charge. Running throughout the whole week.
Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st September
Vintage Markets & Sustainable Merton’s ‘The Wheel’ Repair Café
Love Wimbledon will host its first ever Vintage Market on the Piazza, while inside the Quarter you can join Sustainable Merton’s ‘The Wheel’ workshops in the Courtyard. These will include both textile and electrical workshops inside a repair café.
Both activities are FREE to join.
Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th September
Market Weekender
We’ll close the month with our popular Market Weekender, this time with a special sustainability focus – featuring local traders, delicious food, and sustainable finds.
FREE to attend, running both days.
