World-Class Healthcare is Coming to Wimbledon Quarter

We’re thrilled to share that leading European healthcare provider Affidea – parent company of Fortius Clinic – is opening a 30,000 sq ft state-of-the-art medical centre right here at Wimbledon Quarter.

Taking space on the second floor (in part of the former Debenhams unit), this will be the first private hospital in the UK to open within a retail destination – bringing world-class healthcare into the heart of our community.

Opening in mid-2026, the new clinic will feature a private GP service, urgent care centre, advanced imaging department, outpatient treatment rooms and three theatres. It will offer expertise across orthopaedics, cardiology, urology, women’s health, dermatology and neurology.

Affidea already runs more than 410 centres across 16 countries and is recognised as one of Europe’s leading healthcare providers. The Wimbledon Quarter clinic will sit alongside their existing Fortius locations, which include their flagship West End hospital on Wigmore Street.

Affidea joins an incredible line-up of new names at Wimbledon Quarter, including Hotel Chocolat, Amorino, So.Shell, Urban Baristas and Caddi Club,alongside long-standing favourites like Third Space, The Little Gym, STRONG Pilates, Oliver Bonas, Superdrug and Holland & Barrett. (Read more here).

We’ve also secured planning permission for major public realm improvements along Queen’s Road, including wider pavements, new landscaping, al fresco dining areas and an extension to the former Magistrates’ Court.  All designed to make Wimbledon Quarter an even more welcoming place to spend time.
