Wimbledon Quarter Reopens Following Incident

Wimbledon Quarter has reopened following an incident that occurred earlier today (17th November 2025) involving a cannister explosion within a vehicle. 

Emergency services were immediately called to the scene and the area was quickly secured. An individual involved was promptly attended to by paramedics and has been taken to hospital for treatment.

A thorough investigation has since been completed by the police and the fire services and the incident is not being treated as terror-related. 

Wimbledon Quarter has now reopened to the public and is operating as normal.  However, the car park will remain closed for the remainder of the day whilst a clean up operation is carried out. Visitors are encouraged to use alternative transport options or nearby parking facilities.
