The Rooftop Farm Mushrooms Now Available At The Fire Station Café

You can now buy fresh, gourmet-quality Oyster mushrooms grown on the roof of Wimbledon Quarter at Wimbledon’s newest spot, The Fire Station Café.

We are excited to share that The Rooftop Farm Wimbledon’s locally-grown Oyster mushrooms are now available to purchase exclusively at Huddle’s The Fire Station Café. Grown just above your high street, these mushrooms are a true taste of local, sustainable urban farming.

Using disused coffee grounds collected from local cafés and restaurants (including The Fire Station Café itself) as a nutrient-rich growing substrate, our Rooftop Mushrooms are incubated in an innovative mushroom grow room in peat-free compost with zero chemicals for 6 weeks. They’re then harvested by a team of farmers just a few meters away from where they’re now on sale, offering unbeatable freshness and zero food miles.

You can now pick up a punnet on Fridays and Saturdays (while stocks last) at The Fire Station Café found inside Wimbledon Quarter and accessible via Queens Road. Whether you’re a local foodie, a mushroom lover, or simply curious about our sustainability initiatives, we invite you to stop by and try them for yourself.

This is just the beginning for The Rooftop Farm – watch this space for more produce coming soon.
